| PROCESSES: MINDWORKS are drawing meditations, executed in various media: charcoal pencil on paper allows for a very sensitive line as well as dramatic black marks; stabilo pencil on frosted mylar film allows for tonal washes created by moving the marks around with water in a brush; gouache is often used as well as colored pencils. Some works begin as etchings, others as lithographic prints. Acrylic paints are used as well. | ||||||||||||||||||||||
| These original meditations are then scanned into the computer, modified and enhanced in Photoshop by shifting motifs, altering composition, layering images, exploring color, changing sizes and preparing the artwork for final printing. | ||||||||||||||||||||||
| PRINTING: MINDWORKS images are custom ordered as Giclée Prints using pigmented inks on canvas and/or fine arts papers with a longevity rating of 130 years. Since the Final Art is created in the computer, images are available as Prints only. Giclée Prints are on canvas or fine arts paper and are recognized by museums as original works of art.
RGB Lazer Prints are also available, printed on Fuji Crystal Archive Paper, longevity rating 60 years by Wilhelm-Research.com This is a photographic process using RGB lazer light affecting an emulsion on the surface of the Fuji Archive paper. Later works printed on canvas with Gallery-wrapped stretchers have been enhanced with glazes and coated with layers of varnish. Some prints on watercolor paper have been enhanced with glazes as well, making them unique within an edition. |

| LIMITED EDITIONS: Most Giclée Editions are limited to 50 prints. Earlier RGB Lazer Editions are limited to 200 prints, others 50 prints. All works are signed. Glazes and varnish are added to some works which makes them unique within the edition: color can vary within an edition.
